Portable Fire Equipment

Queensland Fire & Safety specialise in the supply and maintenance of a wide range of fire extinguishers, fire blankets, fire hose reels and fire hydrants for commercial and industrial premises.  Being one of only a handful of companies remaining that operates with a workshop, we are able to minimise our impact on the environment by re-using fire extinguishers that are in a good and compliant condition. All fire equipment is required to be maintained on a six-monthly basis in accordance with relative Australian Standards and Government Regulations.  Our qualified and licenced technicians provide expert and quality service to ensure your building and business remain compliant.

Fire Detection and Alarm Systems

Fire Detection and Alarm Systems play an integral part in ensuring the swift, safe evacuation of all staff and visitors in the event of any emergency.  To ensure your system operates as designed, we are able to provide maintenance and testing in accordance with AS1851-2012 and QDC MP6.1.

Dangerous Goods Cabinets

Correct storage and handling practices of dangerous goods in accordance with AS1940, is an essential part of workplace safety.  As is the on-going preventative maintenance of cabinets that store high risk products such as flammable liquids.  Workplace Safety regulations call for all safety equipment to be maintained in accordance with relative standards and/or manufacturers recommendations.

Safety Shower and Eye Wash Equipment

In the workplace, emergency showers and eyewash facilities are used to provide immediate decontamination if workers are exposed to hazardous chemicals, flying particles, or are injured in a fire.  While most companies have procedures in place to ensure their staff operate this equipment on a weekly basis, few are aware of the requirement to carry out yearly inspection and testing in accordance with Australian Standard 4775-2007.  With experienced technicians, we are able to provide a testing regime suitable to the workplace and environment in which your safety showers and eyewash equipment are installed.
